Sometimes we mess up.

There is no such thing as a perfect kid, and there is no such thing as a perfect mom. This is where we share our blunders and where we flounder to swim in the deep end.  As moms, we mess up on a daily (if not hourly) basis. The best thing we can do is use our mistakes as tools of improvement. How can we become better moms by learning from our mistakes?

Oh, we've all said it to ourselves, haven't we:
“Eh...it's just an hour...I won't bother with the diaper bag.”
For the first time Mom – chalk it up to naievete.
Second time around – ooh...a risk-taker
By the third child – reckless behavior!

We were at my older son's soccer game and wouldn't you know, Baby Blow-Out! Sigh. Thankfully I happened to find a diaper and one last half-dried up wipe in one of those handy pouches attached to the stroller from our last outing. But no change of clothes. Good thing toddlers have no concern for clothes. Mine's more of an Accessory Guy.

Lesson learned! The diaper bag obviously needs to be my extra appendage for a little longer!
